What changed

Visitors ask the same questions: who can attend, where the session happens, and what federal law still says. Straight answers with the official sources.

More people are planning trips to Colorado for licensed psilocybin services. The planning questions are practical, and most of them have clear answers.

Who the program is for

Colorado’s licensed program serves adults 21 and older, at licensed healing centers, with licensed facilitators. If you have a specific eligibility question, put it to the center directly before you pay a deposit or book travel.

The session happens at the center

Services take place under a facilitator’s supervision at a licensed location. You are paying for a supervised service, not buying a product to take with you. Our guide to Colorado’s licensed program explains how the pieces fit together.

Federal law has not changed

Psilocybin remains a Schedule I controlled substance under federal law. Colorado’s program does not change that. Read Colorado’s state program and federal status before you travel.

Practical planning

  • Leave room in your schedule. Preparation happens before the administration day, and centers differ on whether it is remote or in person. Ask.
  • Do not plan to drive yourself after the session. Ask the center how people get home.
  • Ask about cancellation and rescheduling terms before booking flights.
